THIS is the chilling moment a drunk-driver killed her friend in a crash after claiming she was “100 per cent” too “f***ed” to drive.

Melissa Keilloh, 20, was driving Phoebe Johnson, 17, and her cousin on the A514 in Derbyshire when the horror unfolded.

Footage has now been released by police with the permission of Phoebe’s parents of the moment Keilloh crashed.

The video shows the driver lose control on a bend while driving at 72mph in a 60mph zone before she clipped the kerb.

Phoebe was thrown from the Seat Leon after the car tore through a hedge.

Keilloh, who had gone to look for her stricken friend, then shouted “She’s here, I’ve killed Phoebe” after finding her near the bush.

Police have also released separate footage of Keilloh admitting to her friends “100 per cent, I’m f***ed” when asked: “Do you feel like you are going to put our lives in danger?”.

Phoebe had told her friend “I’m scared” as Keilloh raced through the country road after a night playing drinking games.

She then lost control 15 minutes later after dangerously overtaking cars along country lanes, with the harrowing footage capturing the girl’s screams.

Keilloh was jailed for three years in January after pleading guilty to causing death by careless driving.

She was also banned from driving for six-and-a-half years.

Phoebe’s mum Nicola said: “Life can be taken from you in just a heartbeat. When I did go round [to see her hospital] I just held her hand and I didn’t want to leave.

“It just drains everything from you, everything is just an effort and you wonder how long I have to go through this pain for. It’s had such a massive impact not just on us and our families but friends and the wider community.

“You don’t realise until you’re actually going through it what impact it has on everything.

“I’d say to parents never stopping fussing and to youngsters – please listen and please look after yourselves.”

Nicola also revealed the horror moment police showed up at her door and rushed them to hospital where Phoebe was.

She said: “I knew she must’ve been poorly by how they had come to get us but I still didn’t imagine that would be the outcome.”

The teen’s dad Paul added: “It was like a runaway train nobody could get off. But she should have said ‘I’m not getting in the car’.”

Derby Crown Court heard how on October 23, Keilloh had attended a gathering at her sister’s home along with Phoebe and three others.

Joshua Clapp, who was at the party, said he recalled Keilloh speaking to her mum, who had told her not to drive.

She replied: “Don’t worry, I’m too drunk for that, my car keys are up by the door”.

But at 1am, she piled into the Seat with Phoebe and her cousin so the trio could drive around listen to music.

In chilling audio from the car’s dashcam, Phoebe can be heard telling her pal: “I’m scared”.

Keilloh can be heard reassuring her: “No you’re not, I’m fine, cos I’m sober now”.

The driver then smashed through a hedge after losing control between Ticknall and Stanton-by-Bridge.

After the crash, one horrified witness said the aftermath was “like something out of a warzone”.

Keilloh was outside the car and was “hysterical”, while her cousin, who was injured, was screaming from inside the vehicle.

Phoebe was rushed to hospital but died later that day with her parents by her side.

A Derbyshire Police spokesperson said: “We hope that their story will help us show just what the reality of reckless behaviour behind the wheel can lead to.

“It’s part of our Just a Second campaign – where we would urge you to take a second to make the decision not to drink and drive. ‘It just isn’t worth the risk’.”
