A BODY has been found in a ditch in mysterious circumstances with the road urgently closed in both directions.
Cops were called to a Lincolnshire village early this morning after receiving reports of a body in Spalding Road, Bourne.
The call was received just before 3.30am today and an investigation is ongoing.
Cops said at this stage the death is being treated as unexplained and the age and gender of the victim have not been confirmed.
A cordon has been put up around the scene and the A151 Spalding Road has been closed in both directions.
There will be a police presence in the area while the investigation continues.
Drivers have been warned to plan ahead as the road is blocked from m the traffic lights up the A15 to Dowsby, to the B road B1397 to Gosberton to the B1180 Pinchbeck.
Real-time traffic data analysis tool Inrix shared: “A151 Spalding Road in both directions closed due to police incident from Meadow Drove to Cherry Holt Road.”
