HUMAN remains have been found near Tesco as an abandoned caravan is frantically searched.
Cops raced to a wooded area off Riverside Avenue in Bournemouth at around 8.40am today after receiving concerned reports.
Police tape has cordoned off the scene, near Tesco on Castle Lane, and an urgent investigation has been launched by Dorset Police.
A local who visits the nearby supermarket said he spotted an abandoned caravan two to three weeks ago.
He said at midday today there were police cars and forensic vans swarming the abandoned vehicle.
Cops said they believe the horror event was non-recent.
A spokesperson said: “Dorset Police received a report at 8.41am on Saturday 26 April 2025 that human remains had been found in a wooded area off Riverside Avenue in Bournemouth.
“Officers are currently on scene and a cordon has been put in place.
“A full investigation is underway to establish the identity of the person and the full circumstances of the death, which appears to be non-recent.”
