HUMAN remains have been discovered in a sleepy English country village.

Police have erected a cordon around the area where a member of the public discovered the mysterious bones.

The bones were discovered in Wisbech, NorfolkSupplied

Police arrived at the Lynn Road, Walton Highway, at 8.30am on May 18.

A passerby had spotted the bones, leading police to cordon off the area in Wisbech.

An investigation into the discovery is now underway.

Wisbech was made infamous by the murder of Eliza Bibby, a disabled woman who was killed in her home in 2023.

She was murdered by Jamie Boughen, who had purchased drugs from her in the past.

Bibby sold controlled and prescription drugs from her bungalow before her murder.

She was discovered by a friend at her home in a pool of blood.

Boughen initially denied murdered Bibby, but an 8.2in knife with both individuals’ DNA was later discovered on the rooftop of a nearby garage.
