Horror as man is STABBED in chest at busy petrol station in front of terrified customers

A MAN has been stabbed in the chest in a serious assault at a busy petrol station in front of horrified customers.

Emergency services rushed to the Shell garage in Crystal Palace, London, on Wednesday afternoon, discovering the man in his 50s with a stab wound to his chest.

He was quickly taken for further treatment at a major trauma centre as the forecourt of the petrol station was cordoned off yesterday evening.

The man’s injuries are not to be life-threatening, and no-one has yet been arrested in connection to the stabbing.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called 2:50pm on Wednesday, March 19 to Crystal Palace Parade, following a serious assault.

A man in his 50s was taken to hospital after sustaining a stab wound to his chest.

“His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“Officers remain in the area and no arrests have been made at this stage.”

A spokesperson for London Ambulance Service told MyLondon: “We were called today (Wednesday 19) at 2.47pm to reports of a stabbing in Crystal Palace Parade.

“We sent resources including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and London’s air ambulance.

“We treated a man at the scene before taking him to a London major trauma centre.”
