A MAN has been viciously attacked by a dog believed to be an XL Bully in the back garden of a home.
Armed police and a specialist dog unit rushed to the scene in West Bromwich yesterday afternoon to tend to the man.
There were concerned reports of an attack at 4.40pm prompting an emergency response and the man was found injured.
He received treatment from paramedics before being taken to hospital, cops said.
Specialist officers from the force’s dog unit Tasered the hound, which died at the scene.
West Midlands Police said: “We realise incidents of this nature are concerning to the community so we will have extra officers in the area tonight to offer reassurance.”
