A ONE-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after falling from the top floor of a block of flats.
The little girl fell from a window in Newport, Wales, and is in hospital being treated for injuries.
Wales Air Ambulance and the Welsh Ambulance Service were called to flats in the Bettws area.
They were called following reports that a child had fallen out of a bedroom window.
The mother posted on social media, saying her daughter was left alone for five minutes as she went into the kitchen.
A spokesman for Gwent Police told WalesOnline: “We received a report of a medical emergency at Welland Crescent, Newport, at around 12.45pm on Tuesday, May 20.
“Officers attended along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service and Welsh Air Ambulance.
“A 17-month-old girl was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.”
