A WOMAN was allegedly raped inside a tent in Leeds city centre during a late night attack.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed they responded to reports of a serious assault metres away from Leeds Bus Station in the early hours of Friday morning.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in custody.
The force stated the woman was allegedly attacked inside a tent in St Peter’s Square.
A forensics tent was set up at the scene amid investigations, but has now been removed.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: “At 12.24am today, police received a report of a serious sexual assault on a woman that had occurred in a tent in St Peter’s Square in Leeds city centre.
“A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of rape in connection with the incident and remains in custody.
“A scene was put in place in St Peter’s Square to undergo forensic examination but has now been removed.
“Officers from Leeds District Safeguarding Unit are continuing enquiries.”
