Has untapped potential as a sprinter and joined Paul Midgley’s yard for £30,000 in October. That purchase could prove to be a bargain in time as he looks the right type to run in all those valuable Saturday turf handicaps. There’s a risk he might just need the run but a mark of 79 could underestimate his talents by a long way.
PARADOXICAL (8.30 Wolverhampton, nb)
Just keeps on winning and there will be plenty of long faces if he does not land the five-timer. 5lb claimer Warren Fentiman has won four out of five on him and the pair clearly get on like a house on fire. The Jennie Candlish-trained winning machine likes to get on with things and should be able to boss this early from an excellent draw in stall one.
DISGUISEDLIMIT (3.30 Wincanton, treble)
Cost £150,000 at the sales and sets a strong standard in this maiden hurdle. His future lies over fences but he should know too much for the Paul Nicholls-trained French recruit Zaochen Enki.
CRAFTER (2.17 Lingfield, Lucky 15)
Went close in a similar race here last month and should be hard to beat in this lesser contest.
