MUMAYAZ (1.42 Lingfield, nap)

Just pipped in an arguably better race than this at Wolverhampton 22 days ago. The six-year-old came flying home at Dunstall Park last time only for the line to come a few strides too soon.

The handicapper has been fair in leaving his handicap mark alone and he’ll be hard to beat. Hopefully, decent 3lb claimer Jack Doughty can get him rolling in time.

AUTUMN ANGEL (12.12 Lingfield, nb).

She kept her rich vein of form going with a convincing win at Wolverhampton last time when sitting just off the pace before putting the race to bed with lots in hand.

That was over six furlongs but she’s equally at home at this distance too and has a good record in these modest classified races.

TORTURED SOUL (3.12 Lingfield, treble)

He was impressive when scoring at Wolverhampton last time. This five-year-old wasn’t stopping at the line and Neil Callan can steer him home over this extra furlong.

Templegate’s tips

LINGFIELD

12.12    Autumn Angel (nb)

Landed another game win at Wolver last time out.

12.42    Seas Of Elzaam

Wasn’t beaten far last time and down in grade here.

1.12       Al Waqidi

Looks the one to beat despite extended layoff.

1.42       Mumayaz (nap)

Went close at Wolver and this looks an excellent chance.

2.12       Fai Fai

Solid second at Lingfield last time and won’t be far away.

2.42       Kitaro Kich

Came right back to his best when scoring at Chelmsford.

3.12       Tortured Soul (treble)

Easy win at Wolver latest and can strike again.

3.42       Ornately

Bits of promise in maidens and can score on hcap debut.
