KABRAL DU MATHAN (3.35 Windsor, nap)

Harry Cobden can drive his Kab to victory at Windsor. This horse has done well since moving across the Channel to join Paul Nicholls. He won on debut in France and kicked off his British career with a smooth success at Huntingdon this time last year. We didn’t see this five-year-old again until November when he looked a hot prospect in scooting in at Kempton. That saw him thrown in the deeper waters of a hot handicap at Ascot where he went down by a short-head after keeping on strongly. The handicapper was watching and has shoved him up the weights but there’s lots of improvement to come and he can take another major step forward in this big field.

COPPERHEAD (2.35 Market Rasen, nb)

Joe Tizzard’s chaser will be delighted to tackle three miles again after finding 2m4f on the short side when a good second at Cheltenham last time. He kicked off this season with two excellent wins at Chepstow and Aintree before going close at Sandown ahead of that trip to Prestbury Park. He gets on well with Freddie Gingell who is good value for his 3lb claim.

HASTHING (4.08 Windsor, treble)

Showed his liking for the new jumps course when scoring here last month. There was loads of petrol left in the tank so the extra quarter-mile today holds no fears. This is just his third spin over fences so there should be more to come for the O’Neill team.
