ASH WEDNESDAY (8.30 Wolverhampton, nap)

Today’s pilot Jack Mitchell has got a good tune out of this four-year-old on his past two outings. He was beaten in a blanket finish at Kempton in October and came back from a three-month break to go down on the nod over course and distance 12 days ago. He was doubly unlucky to get blocked off not once but twice when making his challenge. Back over the same trip, surely he can make amends.

CARAMAY (4.30 Wolverhampton, nb)

She has two wins and a second from her past three visits to Dunstall Park and ran another decent race when third at Southwell last time. She has no issues with this slight drop back in distance and looks too good for these rivals.

ALFHEIM (7.30 Wolverhampton, treble)

Has every chance of landing a winning hat-trick. She has done well since joining George Boughey from Jessie Harrington and scored a tad cosily when stepping up to this trip last time. A 2lb rise in the weights is fair and she looks hard to fault.

FOREVER PROUD (5.00 Wolverhampton)

Completes our Lucky 15. She has won two of her past three including over this course and distance 11 days ago. This race is definitely no tougher and a 4lb rise shouldn’t be enough to stop in-form James Owen’s five-year-old.
