FIRE crews are battling a huge blaze at a block of flats in a Fife town.
Mercy crews were called to Francis Street in Lochgelly after the alarm was raised around 7pm.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 7.05pm about a fire at a block of flats in Lochgelly.
“We sent seven fire appliances as well as several other specialist appliances to the scene.”
Dramatic images from the scene show the top of the building engulfed in flames.
Residents have been urged to keep their windows and doors closed as the blaze rages on.
Thick plumes of smoke can be seen billowing into the sky as crews work to extinguish the inferno.
It is not known if anyone is injured.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance at a building fire on Francis Street, Lochgelly.
“Officers are assisting with a number of road closures and diversions are in place. Please avoid the area if possible.
“Some residents have been evacuated and a rest centre has been set up at the Lochgelly Town Hall on Bank Street for anyone affected.
“Local residents are urged to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.”
Fife Council added: “Fire in Lochgelly, residents evacuated.
“Please follow police advice.”
