Huge search operation for man and two children last seen driving through seaside town as cops hunt missing car

COPS are desperately searching for a man and his two children – last seen speeding through a major seaside town.

Authorities are concerned over the welfare of the passengers and have sent out a police helicopter to help them in their search.

The car has sped through East Cornwall and has been seen in the Calstock, Lifton and Bude areas.

The black Nissan Qashqai was last seen at 7pm on May 20 in Kilkhampton.

It has a number plate which reads KP13 GZJ.

Devon and Cornwall Police were contacted at 3.30pm that same day – with a report coming in which expressed concern over the man and the two children’s safety.

Police have launched a major search to find the missing trio and have urged members of the public to come forward with any information they may have.

However, authorities have warned people to avoid approaching the car and to instead phone 999 – quoting log 487 20/05/25.

A police helicopter has joined the search which is now entering its second day.

The area in which the car vanished, Kilkhampton, is a sleepy, rural village.

It became more widely known during the COVID-19 pandemic when a record low in cases were recorded at the start of 2021.

By January that year, there had been 0 new infections in Kilkhampton for nearly two months.
