SALISBURY races has been cancelled with the venue ‘unfit for racing’ after a deluge of rain.
The Group 3 Dick Poole Fillies’ Stakes was due to be the feature contest tomorrow.

But bosses, who carried out a 9am inspection today, have been left with no choice but to pull the plug on the action after consistent downpours.
The Wiltshire track suffered a further 17mm of rain overnight in addition to 10mm yesterday and 30mm from last Wednesday.
A statement from the course read: “Racing abandoned tomorrow (4th September) due to unfit track and areas of waterlogging after 58mm rain in recent days, with further likely showers in the next two days.”
It is pretty much a year to the day since racing was last abandoned at Salisbury.
On September 5 last year the action was canned just an hour before the first race, again due to waterlogging.
It remains unclear whether this year’s meeting will be rescheduled.
Clerk of the course Jeremy Martin told the Racing Post: “It’s a huge shame.
“I’ve been here 25 years and it’s the second time in a row we’ve lost the main meeting.
“The weather changed last week and we’ve had 60mm of rain since then.
“We’re having conversations to reschedule.
“We hope the weather is far more favourable next week and while it’s to be determined, there seems to be genuine interest to reschedule it.”
