WWE legend Hulk Hogan was booed out of the building by fans during RAW’s historic premiere on Netflix.

Hogan, 71, is one of the most iconic professional wrestlers of all time and transformed the business during the 1980s and 90s by turning the sport into an international sensation.

However, The Hulkster’s popularity has decreased is no longer a fan favourite, as shown by the reception he received on Monday at the Intuit Dome in California.

The 12-time world champion appeared with legendary manager Jimmy Hart holding a massive American flag and cut a promo at the stage.

The ex-WWE Champion was met by loud boos from the live Los Angeles crowd.

That was despite Hogan praising the fans as his “greatest ever tag team partner”.

The jeers got louder as he tried to promote his Real American Beer in an awkward monologue.

Tensions appeared to rise and the two-time Hall of Famer looked to be stuttering over his words.

The ex-WCW Champion fell out of favour in 2015 when a shocking clip emerged showing him using racist language while repeatedly saying the n-word as he discussed daughter Brooke‘s love life.

A joint investigation from RadarOnline and The National Enquirer found Hogan saying in the shocking tape: “I don’t know if Brooke was f****** the black guy’s son… I mean, I don’t have double standards.

“I mean, I am a racist, to a point, f****** n*****. But then when it comes to nice people and s***, and whatever.

“I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*** some n*****, I’d rather have her marry an eight-foot-tall n***** worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player! I guess we’re all a little racist. F****** n*****.”

Hogan repeatedly apologised after the tape went public but WWE axed him immediately.

The heavyweight asked for his daughter’s forgiveness and pleaded with his legions of fans to take him back.

Hogan told Good Morning America: “Please forgive me. If anybody should have disowned me it should have been her [Brooke].

“I was upset about something that happened between her and her boyfriend.”

Hogan later told People: “Eight years ago I used offensive language during a conversation.

“It was unacceptable for me to have used that offensive language; there is no excuse for it; and I apologise for having done it.”

WWE let Hogan back into the company in 2018 and he has since described the controversy as “a speed bump” and claimed it was “not who I was”.

Many, though, were not happy with his apology with reports suggesting he spoke about being careful what you say around a camera, rather than the content of what he said.

Hogan went on to endorse controversial US president Donald Trump and was a guest speaker during an extremely contentious rally at Maddison Square Garden in New York before the re-election.
