HUMAN remains have been found in a woodland following reports of a “tent seen there for months” by locals.
The remains were discovered in woods near East Fleetham in Northumberland on Sunday evening.

It is unknown how long the remains have been there for, but Northumbria Police have launched an investigation.
Officers remain at the scene of the discovery.
A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly before 9pm on Sunday (August 3) we received a report that human remains had been found in a wooded area in East Fleetham near Beadnell.
“An investigation has been launched. Officers currently remain at the scene and enquiries remain ongoing.”
Enquiries are being made to help establish the identity of the body and the circumstances leading to the death.
