He discovered Christopher Andrews in the kitchen and punched him in the mouth.

Christopher — pictured naked on Facebook in a group shot with just a rugby ball covering his tackle — suffered a split lip.

Lukey, 46, then smashed two TVs and family photos before trying to drag his estranged wife from the property, accidentally pulling off her top.

Police were called in Blandford, Dorset, and arrested him.

Jason Spelman, prosecuting, said the couple had separated about six weeks earlier and she had considered herself single.

But Lukey was let off a prison sentence after he told Poole magistrates he had reacted “under extreme provocation” to his wife’s repeated affairs.

The aerospace engineer admitted assault by beating against his wife and her lover and criminal damage.

His punishment included 100 hours’ unpaid work and a restraining order.
