A CHRISTMAS market lover has told how Coventry’s ‘big wheel’ was a waste of money after she forked out £8.
Priyanka Patel says the 35-metre high attraction in Broadgate is the “slowest ride ever” and that the views were disappointing.

Writing for Coventry Live, she told how the booth is shielded with glass – meaning it’s impossible to take nice pictures.
She explained: “I was frustrated that I couldn’t take nice pictures from above, I also found the ride quite boring because it’s very slow, moves at a rigid pace and then stops suddenly.
“Also when it was moving slow, the view was the same so that also made it less amusing but once we got to the top – it didn’t get any better.
“I was looking forward to seeing a beautiful and picturesque city skyline full of vibrancy but I couldn’t see much at all. As it was dark and the skies were pitch black.”
The wheel went around just twice for the £8 Priyanka spent.
She said: “Overall, the ride lasted around 15 minutes and for £8, I feel it was not worth it and a waste of money to see nothing and also endure the slowest ride ever known.”
It comes after Winter Wonderland is London was slammed for its high prices.
One gran said she felt like she had been mugged after a trip to Winter Wonderland – claiming she paid £14 for two potato on a stick.
And another mum said she was forced to take her three kids to McDonald’s before their day out at the Christmas market as she couldn’t afford the “overpriced” grub.
However in Manchester a visitor to their famous Christmas market said they took just £20 with them – and got value for their money.
The Sun has contacted the market and the local council for comment.
