AN ex-partner of a beast at the centre of a paedophile ring has recalled the awful moment she had to ask her own child if he had ever preyed on them too.
The woman dated Iain Owens, 45, who was nailed last week on 18 charges, including attempted murder, raping three kids and supplying heroin and cocaine.

We told how the monster was locked up along with six others after Scotland’s largest-ever child sex abuse prosecution.
The mum of three had split from Owens before the series of horror attacks he was convicted of began in Glasgow.
She told The Scottish Sun their fling began in the early 2000 when she was hooked on heroin, as was her then lover.
But the woman, whose son was around nine at the time, managed to kick the habit — while pervert Owens became ravaged with addiction.
She said: “When the stories about what he had done came out during the trial, it hit me like a brick.
“I had to go and sit my kid down and ask him if anything had ever happened to them.
“Nothing did, thank God. But being in that position was horrible.”
The High Court in Glasgow heard kids were plied with drink and drugs before being forced to take part in “rape nights” plus “dance and sex nights” and “dog-killing nights”.
One girl was forced into a microwave in a bid to kill her.
And the youngsters believed their attackers were witches and wizards who could turn them into cats and dogs.
Despite having not seen Owens for almost 20 years, the woman chose to go to the harrowing trial.
She said: “I wanted to look him in the eye because I’m also a survivor of abuse and it’s the children I want justice for.”
The mum also shared concerns over the authorities failing to act sooner to remove the children from their sickening situation.
But she reserved her fiercest criticism for the drug-addled paedos who subjected kids to sickening abuse ordeals between 2010 and 2020.
They included Owens’ current partner Elaine Lannery, 39, plus Paul Brannan, 41, Barry Watson, 47, John Clark, 47, Scott Forbes, 50, and Lesley Williams, 41.
Judge Lord Beckett remanded them in custody until they are sentenced in January.
The woman said: “There are plenty of addicts out there but it doesn’t mean to say they are all paedophiles.
“I hope they get what’s coming to them.
“Karma gets you in the end.”
