ONE lucky punter from Swindon walked away with a staggering five-figure sum on Monday after striking gold with the brand-new Tote Multiples.

The father-of-three’s winning bet came from a treble on Serious Challenge and two outsiders, Miss Fedora and Dotties Star, who claimed victory in the 1.50pm, 2.20pm, and 2.50pm races at Plumpton.

On the same day, the Placepot paid out over £7,000 to a £1 stake.

But the streak didn’t end there.

The punter had also placed a series of doubles and backed the same horses in singles, further boosting his impressive winnings.

A regular customer of Tote, the jubilant winner shared his excitement and the reasoning behind his selections.

He said: “It’s incredible to win such a big amount as I regularly have a flutter on a few outsiders with the Tote.

“I only had my last pick because I liked the name, Dotties Star – the name just hit me, and I knew that was going to be a winner.

“It’s great to do multiple bets with the Tote, as my dad did when we both went to the races together. I’ll be celebrating my winnings by treating my children and grandchildren to something special this year.”

Tote Multiples, which launched earlier this month on Tote.co.uk, allows racing fans to combine multiple selections across races at their chosen meeting.

Kev Matthews, Head of Racing at Tote, expressed his delight at the punter’s big win, he said: “We’re thrilled to see the lucky winner scoop such an incredible prize on our new Tote Multiples.

“This product was designed to enhance the excitement of betting, and Monday’s result at Plumpton highlights just how rewarding it can be. Huge congratulations from everyone at Tote – we hope he enjoys his winnings!”
