A WOMAN revealed that she quit the rat race to live on the beach with her two cats, but one annoying problem makes it difficult.
Shay Edwards and Gene Murphy took to YouTube to explain how they left their normal lives to live out of their van in Mexico.

The pair shared a sneak peek into their “typical morning routine” as remote workers who are now able to travel full-time with their home on wheels.
Shay and Gene are currently parked up in sunny Baja California, along with their two cats Bean and Sprout.
“First thing every morning, they force me to take them outside,” Shay explained, as she stepped out of the van and onto a sandy floor.
Outside the van is a cat tent, shoe rack, and sheets of fabric pinned up to give the effect of a shady front porch.
Shay then explains how she gets ready to clean for the day as she opens up the makeshift curtains which reveal the kitchen area inside the van.
But although the pair are living out their dream mobile life, they admitted that there was one annoying, messy problem that they have to face on a daily basis.
“While I love living on the beach in my van, it means that sand gets everywhere, so every morning I do a little sweep up,” she explained.
After they clear out the sand from their home on wheels, the trash is taken out and they make a start on the dishes.
The kitchen in the mobile home is compact but fully kitted out with a sink, storage space, and running water for all their daily needs.
But the sink has a whole variety of uses as the savvy pair sare clips of them brushing their teeth and washing their hair in the kitchen basin.
While Shay takes out the rubbish, Gene is perched outside in a foldable chair and makes coffee from an electric hob that she ignites with a lighter.
The bedroom area in the van is tucked away into the back end, with storage above each side.
“Living in a small space means that everything feels very cluttered fast so I make sure to make up the bed… then start getting ready,” she explained.
Shay then grabs a jumpsuit out of one of the overhead storage compartments – which she throws over a swimsuit “because it’s time for our morning swim in the sea,” she says.
The pair are located just a stone’s throw away from the sea and film themselves running down the idyllic beach before jumping into the open water.
Shay admits that the water is “absolutely perfect” where they are currently based, but the sand proves to be an annoying factor again.
The remote worker then places herself on her bed – which is used as a makeshift office – with her laptop on a small stool where she is able to make her work calls from the comfort of her van.
The video racked up over 93,000 likes and over 1,200 comments from stunned viewers.
One wrote: “This is such a cool lifestyle. I admire the fact that you can travel ANYWHERE you want & work!”
Another said: “How beautiful you two are blessed to live like this!! Thank you for sharing”.
A third added: “I am so happy that y’all ventured out and took a risk to live your dream. That’s a goal to not pay rent and be rent-free and just live freely”.
One more chimed in: “Looks like ur all living the dream – enjoy”.
Gene and Shay have documented their mobile living journey on YouTube, where they have now garnered over 59,000 subscribers.
Their Instagram page, with over 107,000 followers is now packed with content on the couple’s latest project of turning a bus into a home.
But they aren’t to take on an incredible bus conversion task – as one woman quit her job and moved into a school bus so she could travel the country.
Another man revealed that would never have to pay rent again after transforming an old bus from a scrapyard into a beautiful home.
And an inventive couple turned an old London double-decker bus into a tiny home for the price of a VW Golf.
