KYREN WILSON has admitted to going “off the rails” after becoming world champion last year.
The Warrior achieved his boyhood dream at the Crucible 12 months ago, beating Jak Jones in the final to pocket £500,000.

Wilson let his hair down after the victory and had sunk many pints in celebration with friends and family.
But the 33-year-old has lifted the lid on how his partying was starting to go too far.
Strong words from his wife Sophie and sobering up one morning in a stranger house after a boozy night out were the reality checks he needed.
Wilson told SunSport last year: “After the World Championship, I have constantly tried to search for that high.
“I’ve gone a little bit off the rails, which is not like me really. You have to rein it when you can.
“I was mostly enjoying a few late nights. I did not know when to rein it in and stop celebrating.
“You get that opportunity only once of being a first-time world champion – so I wanted to enjoy it as long as I could.
“I ended up at a few late-night parties. Drinking far too much.

“At one point, I ended up at a house party until 7am and I didn’t even know the person (who owned it). I was there on my own.
“That was a bit of an eye-opening moment – you need to get your life in order.
“My wife Sophie turned to me and said: ‘It’s time to rein it in now.
“‘Stop searching for the high through alcohol – and instead get that high by winning again.’
“I’ve got my head back in the game now. I was searching for the wrong high if that makes sense.
“Now I’m turning my attention to more snooker tournaments. This has given me that high.

“It’s hard. I have dreamed of being a world champion since I was six-years-old.
“I absolutely reached my boyhood dream and the pinnacle of our sport but I’m still so young in terms of the tour.
“There is so much more to give and so much more I want to give. I absolutely love this game.”
Wilson faces Lei Peifan in the first round of the World Championships, which begins today.
He is looking to break the “Crucible curse” and become the only man to retain the title after his first ever win.
Five of the last six first time winners of the title have lost the following year in either the first or second round.
