MANCHESTER UNITED fans have begged Ruben Amorim to unleash Matheus Cunha’s attacking potential – after reports he’s preparing a new role for the Brazilian.
United confirmed the capture of the 26-year-old forward for £62.5million on Sunday.

Cunha scored 17 goals for Wolves last season playing in a free-ranging No. 10 role.
The versatile forward played across the front line at Molineux, including at centre forward.
The Times suggest Amorim sees Cunha “slotting in as either one of the two No10s in his system.”
But the report claims the Portuguese could employ Cunha “slightly further back in a more defensive role.”
United netted just 44 goals in the Premier League last season.
And some fans were not impressed by the idea of their new £62.5m man being stifled in a more defensive setup.
One raged on X: “If that’s the plan then I’m completely Amorim out.”
Another agreed: “Sack Ruben Amorim on the spot if Cunha doesn’t play at LF 10 or ST, this misprofiling needs to end.”

And a third commented: “The defensive part is surely a joke.”
While a fourth predicted: “So here we go again, Cunha is no defender, but we will make him into a defensive mid. Again, with the square pegs in round holes. I can see Amorim using him deeper to accommodate Mount in the 10.”
United’s flops are currently on their way back from a disastrous post-season tour of Asia.
A large proportion of the squad are heading out on international duty over the next fortnight.
Cunha was spotted leaving a hotel in Manchester on Sunday.
A statement from the club announcing the deal said: “Everyone at Manchester United looks forward to welcoming Matheus to Old Trafford.”
He drove straight to the airport and jetted out to join the Brazil squad for World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay and Ecuador.
SunSport has revealed Amorim is ready to get tough with his Red Devils squad following a horror campaign.
Amorim has delivered a list of instructions to ensure United are in top shape for the new Prem season, which starts on the weekend of August 16.
It is believed non-international players could return to the club’s Carrington HQ earlier than normal, with a suggestion some may be back training by the end of THIS month.
Amorim wants fitness levels to be sky high, demanding that players hit personal bests by mid-July.
