FORMER UFC star Kevin Lee has vowed to hunt down the person responsible for leaking viral footage of him being knocked down in sparring.

A clip of the former interim 155lbs title challenger being sent crashing to the canvas during a sparring session at Kill Cliff in Florida spread like wildfire on X earlier this week.

Lee, 32, was sent hurtling head-first to the canvas by a vicious right hand from sparring partner Mirali Huseynov after throwing a flying knee.

He fell face-first to the mat and was visibly wobbled as he quickly returned to his feet with a little help from former UFC welterweight champion Robbie Lawler.

Footage of the incident, somehow, made its way online, much to the frustration of ‘The Motown Phenom’.

He wrote on X: “IDK who posted that video or why but I’m heading right now to find out.

“I can only blame myself for showing mercy and pulling my knee back.

“But it’s training so I thought let me not blast him.

“I see I shouldn’t have been playing around with a guy like that.

“Since MFs wanna start showing sparring imma start showing sparrings from now on.”

MMA fans and fighters alike took to X to express their disgust at the leaking of the sparring footage.

One wrote: “It was lame to post that video.”

Another said: “You’re right about whoever posted that. Check your circle.”

And another said: “Yeah this was BS.”

One remarked: “Super unprofessional. Posting training videos is the ultimate p***y move.”

Another chimed in: “Never should have been posted.”

Huseynov addressed the incident on social media, saying: “It was not my point to hit him hard.

“[He threw a] flying knee coming, what should I do?”

He added: “He [Kevin Lee] is my favourite partner, we always work hard.”

It was announced last month that Lee – who has had two stints with the UFC – has signed with the newly-founded Global Fight League.
