Richards and Lescott know each other well, having played together for several years at Manchester City and then Aston Villa.

As Lescott performed his set, Richards could be seen jumping about and having a brilliant time.

At one point the ex-defender even grabbed a mic, hyping up the excited crowd.

More than happy to get involved with the regular punters, Richards could be seen in the front row arm in arm with revellers.

With several clips going viral online, fans loved the brilliant scene.

One wrote: “Walked past and stayed to watch for a bit – very surreal.”

While a second joked: “Imagine Roy Keane here.”

A third gushed: “legend! got to love Micah.”

And another added: “This guy’s energy!!!”

Lescott previously opened up on his DJing goals while appearing on Richards’ The Rest is Football podcast, saying: “Yeah, that is a thing, real ambition to do.

“I had some gigs in the summer but when you get this call from a friend who says ‘do you want to be part of the England set-up?’

“I kind of had to park it. But, yeah, I still train. It’s the closest thing I have to playing, in terms of the feeling it gives me.

“House now, like deep house and stuff.

“So, you kind of have to recognise what most of the younger generation listen to.

“I grew up on garage but there’s not many people listening to that now.”

Lescott was part of Lee Carsley backroom staff during the England Under-21s boss’ interim spell in charge of the Three Lions.

He has also done plenty of punditry, working for TNT Sports.
