THE Ultimate Fighting Championship is set to get the Hollywood treatment thanks to an A-list director.
A new project depicting the gruelling journey to the summit of mixed martial arts‘ premier promotion has been announced.

And it will be directed by critically acclaimed director Zac Snyder, with the backing of the Chairman of Saudi Arabia‘s General Entertainment Authority, Turki Alalshikh.
‘Brawler’ will depict a young up-and-coming fighter getting a crack at UFC glory after rising from the “rough streets of Los Angeles” while “battling his inner demons.”
UFC CEO and President Dana White said of the film: “Turki Alalshikh and Zack Snyder have a shared vision to create a film about UFC.
“They are both very passionate about this project to show fans what it takes to become a UFC champion.
“It’s an incredibly ambitious project, and I look forward to seeing it come to life.”
Synder, who directed Hollywood blockbusters 300 and Justice League, said: “Behind every great fighter is the story of how they got there.
“UFC is the world leader in combat sports and I’m honoured to be partnering with them to tell this incredible story.”
Alalshikh, who recently announced the formation of TKO Boxing with White, began teasing a UFC movie with Snyder last year.

And he’s delighted that the wheels are finally in motion, saying: “I’ve been a fan of Zack’s work for years.
“His unique style, from his iconic action sequences to his sweeping visuals and intensely emotional storytelling – coupled with his humanised portrayal of deeply flawed characters – is singular.
“I couldn’t think of a better person to partner with to bring the UFC to the big screen.”
Cast members for the film, which doesn’t have a release date, are currently a mystery.
But it’s likely Snyder and his Stone Quarry production label will film scenes for the movie at live UFC events.
Producers for the 2024 remake of ‘Roadhouse’, which starred former two-division champion Conor McGregor, filmed a fight scene during UFC 285 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in March 2023.
Fans in attendance were left stunned as Jake Gyllenhaal twice performed a full octagon walk and threw down with former UFC welterweight Jey Hieron.
