OLEKSANDR USYK has been granted a 90-day sick note to delay his Joseph Parker world title defence – despite being filmed dancing like a disco demon.
After the 38-year-old undisputed heavyweight champ dominated Daniel Dubois at Wembley in July, he had 30 days to enter negotiations with the WBO’s Kiwi mandatory challenger.

But the southpaw genius told the sanctioning body that he was suffering from a long-running back problem and needed more time.
The World Boxing Organisation has granted him the three-month extension – despite a video surfacing of the gap-toothed leftie maverick throwing major shapes on stage.
Thankfully ice-cool Parker – who has just scored a brilliant hat-trick of wins over Deontay Wilder, Zhilei Zhang and Martin Bakole – has snapped up an October 25 O2 showdown with Ipswich icon Fabio Wardley.
The New Zealander told SunSport: “He’s earned the right to have a dance.
“He’s earned the right to have a dance and a rest and some time with his family.
“He’s been busy with the two Tyson Fury fights and then Dubois.
“I am the one who hasn’t been busy, so it’s down to me now to get fights and be busy.
“The more you are in the ring and fighting, the better you get.

“Usyk can enjoy his time off and, when he’s ready, he’ll be back and I’ll be waiting.”
Parker was supposed to fight Dubois in February last year, for the red IBF crown, when the Londoner pulled out at the last minute with illness.
An obese Martin Bakole was flown in from Congo and knocked out in two rounds.
But instead of the Dubois shot getting rearranged, the 27-year-old Brit got an undisputed shot at Usyk and Parker was stuck on the shelf.
Parker recalls: “It was a fight for the championship of the world and it was taken away from me just days before the fight.
“At that stage we just had to find and fight anyone and it didn’t matter who.
“I had trained so hard and I wasn’t going to turn the chance down and I just went out there and did my thing.”
