Who are the Lahijanis?

The Lahijanis are a prominent Iranian-American family with a significant presence in the Los Angeles real estate market.

They have a history of property acquisitions and development.

Their purchase of the Menendez mansion through an LLC named LAHA ELM, registered in February 2024, indicates a strategic approach to their investments.

Murder mansion

The Mediterranean-style mansion, located in Beverly Hills, was the site of the brutal murders of Jose and Kitty Menendez by their sons Lyle and Erik in 1989.

The address of the Menendez murders mansion is 722 North Elm Drive in Beverly Hills, California.

Originally built in 1927 and redesigned in 1984, the mansion is located in the coveted Beverly Hills flats area and has become a notorious address due to its connection to the infamous Menendez brothers case.

Here are the dimensions and details of the famous property:

Approximately 9,000 square feet

Seven bedrooms

High ceilings and imported Italian Limestone flooring

Primary suite with double baths and designer closets

Pool sheltered by hedges for privacy

This Lahijani family acquired the Menendez murders mansion in March 2024 for $17million.

Since purchasing the property, they have reportedly begun a complete renovation of the home.

Public attention and privacy

The family’s purchase has coincided with renewed public interest in the Menendez case, sparked by recent documentary and dramatized series releases on Netflix in fall 2024.

Curious true crime fans have been flocking to the quiet, affluent neighborhood hoping to catch a glimpse of the house where the infamous crime unfolded, much to the dismay of the local residents.

Despite the media attention surrounding the mansion’s history and the high-profile nature of their purchase, the Lahijani family has maintained a low public profile.

Menendez murders

In 1989, Erik, now 53, and Lyle, 56, were convicted of murdering their parents José and Kitty Menendez in their Beverly Hills mansion.

In court the siblings alleged they were physically and sexually abused by their father.

They also claimed their mother was physically abusive and enabled her husband’s behavior.

In 1996, the Menendez brothers were sentenced to life behind bars.

They are currently incarcerated at Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Diego.
