BARCELONA legend Ronald de Boer lashed out at his former club for “cheating” following the controversial registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.
Olmo, 26, completed an emotional comeback to his boyhood club following a £50million deal with RB Leipzig in August shortly after he helped Spain win Euro 2024 by beating England in the final.

However, the Blaugrana were unable to register the playmaker due to their ongoing financial struggles, the same applied with Victor, 23, who joined from Girona in July.
That was until Hansi Flick’s side lost Andreas Christensen to a long-term injury and that allowed them to register Olmo as an emergency player until December 31, 2024.
Nevertheless, the Catalan giants finally received the green light to register both players after appealing to the Higher Sports Council (CSD).
The CSD defended their unprecedented decision by claiming that preventing the registration of both Olmo and Victor would cause significant harm to the players, the club and the Spanish national team.
That led to immense outrage across Spanish football with even club legends voicing their disapproval, such as De Boer, 54.
The ex-Netherlands international didn’t hold back on his assessment as he even claimed his beloved club “gets away with everything”.
De Boer said: “It’s very sad that a club as beautiful as Barca is still allowed to cheat. Coming from what I was before… playing with UNICEF on the shirt.
“Other clubs play by the rules, they try to survive, but Barcelona are allowed to get away with everything, which is crazy. If it were a company, it would have filed for bankruptcy.

“It’s ridiculous, it’s become a soap opera. They just want to continue competing with Real Madrid, and they hate the fact that Real Madrid continues to reap success.”
Several clubs, such as Atletico Madrid, intend to appeal the decision and LaLiga have launched a legal battle.
That could lead to a possible punishment of the CSD’s ruling being declared as null and void.
