WWE legend Roman Reigns has revealed when his current contract runs out and hinted at a potential retirement timeline.

Reigns, 39, has been the face of the industry since 2015 when fellow pro wrestling great John Cena stepped out of full-time action and followed in Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s footsteps in Hollywood.

WWE legend Roman Reigns suggested he may retire in three years

Reigns revealed his current contract runs out next year after WrestleMania 42

The Tribal Chief is the longest-reigning world champion of the modern era after his staggering 1,316-day reign came to an end last year at WrestleMania 40 when he lost to Cody Rhodes.

However, the six-time world champion’s wrestling days may be coming to an end in three years’ time.

The Head of the Table revealed that his WWE contract comes to an end next year after WrestleMania 42.

After that, ex-WWE Champion believes he can continue wrestling for another two years maximum.

However, the American grappler seems to be planning a different avenue in 2028 that would see him undertaking a “less physical form of entertainment”.

Reigns told Vanity Fair: “After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max. Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.”

That of course could mean a lot of things as the former Universal Champion may simply opt for an even more limited part-time schedule.

The former Intercontinental Champion may also mirror Cena and The Rock‘s career moves.

In fact, Reigns has already appeared on the big screen as he linked up with his cousin Johnson in Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.

Nevertheless, the ex-US Champion is now fully concentrated on WrestleMania 41, which takes place this weekend at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Reigns will be taking on CM Punk and Seth Rollins in a Triple Threat Match on Saturday’s main event
