EDDIE Jones has left ITV’s coverage of the Six Nations after England’s dramatic last-gasp victory over France.

The former Red Roses head coach provided punditry for Saturday’s game at Twickenham but will not be involved for the rest of the tournament.

Jones, who led England from 2015 to 2022—winning three Six Nations titles and reaching the 2019 World Cup final—was a headline addition to ITV’s coverage.

Sporting a trademark beanie, he made his punditry debut during Ireland’s clash with England in Dublin last week.

But the 65-year-old will walk away from his role after just TWO games.

The Aussie ran the rule over England’s stunning 26-25 win over France, alongside Jonny Wilkinson and Brian O’Driscoll.

England ended a horror run of seven straight defeats against tier-one nations, with Elliot Daly’s match-grabbing try coming in the last minute.

Towards the end of ITV‘s broadcast, presenter Mark Pougatch confirmed that Jones would not feature on-screen for the remainder of the competition.

Jones will now head to Japan to focus on his coaching duties, with their next match coming against Wales on July 12.

Jones said of England’s performance against France: “They are on the threshold of being a really good team.

“What they have to make sure is that they take the learnings from this and reinforce how to handle the difficult moments in the game.

“And how to get on the front foot and not go into their shells.”

England fans were keen to see how Jones would speak about his former team after leaving under a cloud when he was sacked in 2022.

Jones’ relationship with some of his former England players was tense, with some criticising his management style.

Current England head coach Steve Borthwick had been Jones’ assistant for several years before taking the No1 role.

Jones had initially been lined up by the broadcaster for the 2023 Six Nations series, but was hired to take charge of Australia instead.

But he resigned from his Aussie post in October 2023 after having started his international coaching career with them in 2001.
