IT HAS been a good couple of weeks for the team and our novice chasers have really come to the fore.
Both Handstands and The Jukebox Man have won big races and I’d like to think, at the moment, they look like two of the best novice chasers in Britain.
GettyHandstands has won four of his six races and the sky is the limit for this novice chaser[/caption]
Neither of them have surprised me with the prizes they have picked up but I guess The Jukebox Man has shown more speed than we probably gave him credit for.

I genuinely think he could run in top races over two miles as well as over three miles.
He really attacked his fences at Newbury and if he can use that in the right way then I think the world is his oyster.
We had a chat earlier this week and, all being well, The Jukebox Man will go for the Kauto Star at Kempton on Boxing Day.
There’s nothing really for him at two and half so we’ll step him back up to three miles but I would not be frightened of dropping him back to two miles at some point.
As for Handstands he’s in great shape after his Sandown win and he’ll go for the Hampton Court at Warwick on January 11 then hopefully on to the Grade 1 Scilly Isles back at Sandown.
It’s exciting to have these two and hopefully we can find a couple more flagbearers soon enough.
Jumps racing returns to Windsor tomorrow and it’s great to see trainers getting behind it. Windsor have done a top job and Fitzdares have put a lot behind it too.
I’d love a winner there and both ONEWAYWEST and FOURTOWNS (3.40) have a chance in the lucky last.
Fourtowns is actually owned by the Fitzdares gang so he will have a lot of support.
He’s a bit of a monkey but I think we have him in a good spot heading into it.
Onewaywest is unexposed and ran behind Lump Sum last time.
That doesn’t look bad form now and his mark is on the lenient side based on that.
But he’s not run for a year since a fall so we’ll see how we go.
