JAMIE Vardy is having Italian lessons in a bid to socialise with his new Serie A teammates – and has already mastered all the swear words.

Alongside Becky, the couple are undergoing an intensive course of lessons, as they relocate their family to a picturesque town on the shores of stunning Lake Garda following his move to Cremonese.

They have now found a luxurious villa in historic Salo, most famous as the home of World War 2 dictator Benito Mussolini – whose great-grandson Romana Mussolini is now one of Jamie’s teammates.

A source said: “Jamie and Becky are already loving Italian life, and doing all they can to blend in seamlessly.

“The whole family is having Italian lessons, and Jamie is already au fait with some of the more colourful swear words.

“‘Vaffanculo’ is his current fave; he actually knows most swear words in most languages- he is  quite the polymath.

“People close to them thought Jamie would base himself out there for the season and Becky and the kids would stay as they are – but in the end they’ve decided to throw themselves in at the deep end as a family.

“Actually she really fell in love with the place a year or so ago when they went there on holiday, and it’s early days but they are super happy – it’s all going really well, and they’ve made some great new pals.”

Meanwhile, the infamous Italian dictator lived in a vast villa complex in the town, Villa Feltrinelli, which is now a luxurious five star hotel on the waterfront. The mustachioed fascist leader remained at the property until shortly before his capture and execution as he attempted to escape the country in 1945.

Friends say Jamie is determined to immerse himself in the area’s culture, and took up Italian lessons – offered by the club – in a bid to fit in and enjoy a new way of life to the full.

But their choice of home will raise eyebrows among some locals – as it is 80km away from his new side’s training ground and home stadium in Cremona, leaving the striker with a hefty daily commute.

Jamie made his first appearance in a 0-0 draw against Verona  on Monday – sparking excitement from the home fans who are hoping he will keep the Serie A minnows in the top division after their promotion last season.

Becky was among the Wags in the crowd for the game, where the former Leicester City and England ace was greeted by a substantial roar from the home faithful when appearing as a substitute 15 minutes into the second half.

But his arrival had already been heralded by a notably large throng of photographers dedicated to their new star man and his controversial wife – snapping photographs of her as she joined his teammate’s partners in the stands.

And in a press conference to Italian media when asked about his family, he explained: “They’re not here yet at this moment.

“You have to go through all the procedures to get visas and things like that. But they’re really looking forward to it. A real buzz and excitement, especially with getting to learn a new language as well

“So, as a whole, we can’t wait.”

But in a backlash at one of the reporters asking questions, the popular striker blasted: “You must be one of the doubters. You’re one that I’ll have to prove wrong.

“For me age is just a number. As long as my legs are doing exactly what they used to and still feel as fresh as they do then I will carry on.

“At the moment there are no signs of them slowing down so I’ll keep going and I will be giving my all for this club.”
