The Cotswolds-based rider suffered a bone-crunching spill from Broadway Boy in the big race.
Jockey Tom Bellamy has been rushed to hospital after a horrible fall in the Grand NationalRex
The 66-1 chance was leading and pinging the famous fences when he fell at the 25th.
Bellamy looked to get catapulted forwards from the horse and smashed into the turf.
Broadway Boy walked gingerly into a horse ambulance on the track – while Bellamy was taken away for further assessment.
It is hoped his injuries are not too bad but he will require observation from a doctor.
Broadway Boy was one of three horses to fall in the race, alongside 25-1 Kandoo Kid and 10-1 Perceval Legallois.
While 125-1 outsider Celebre D’Allen was also taken into a horse ambulance after being pulled up on the run-in.
The Grand National remains a gruelling test despite the changes to the race – with just 16 finishers this year.
The good ground will have caught many out – with a wave of horses pulled earlier in the day.
All 34 lined up in the National but former Supreme winner Appreciate It was brought down.
While 13 horses in all were pulled up including recent Cheltenham hero and the much-fancied Stumptown.
While jockey Danny Gilligan was unseated from Gordon Elliott’s 33-1 chance Duffle Coat.
