Knifeman on loose as 5 stabbed ‘at London party’ in early hours sparking major hunt

FIVE people have been stabbed in a horror attack at an event as cops launch an urgent manhunt.

The terrifying incident unfolded in Thamesmead, South East London, in the early hours of this morning.

No arrests have been made

Metropolitan Police officers were called to an address on Nathan way at 4.19am.

London Ambulance Service transported five people to hospital with stab wounds.

The extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.

A cordon remains in place at the scene while traffic is being diverted away from Nathan Way, Kellner Road, and A2016 Pettman Crescent.

As of yet, no arrests have been made.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers are investigating an incident in Thamesmead this morning, where five people were seriously assaulted.

“Police were called at 04:19hrs on Saturday, 17 May to Nathan Way, SE28 following reports of multiple people injured at an event.

“Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service and five people were located with stab wounds.

“They were taken to hospital where their injuries are being assessed.

“Enquiries are ongoing and a cordon will remain in place throughout the day.

“No arrests have been made at this stage.”

A statement on AA Maps says: “Road blocked, police Incident, slow traffic.

“Road blocked and slow traffic due to police incident on Nathan Way, both ways between Kellner Road and A2016 Pettman Crescent.”
