KOBBIE MAINOO has told Manchester United that he wants to leave the club on loan before Monday’s transfer deadline, according to reports.

According to The Athletic, that has now led to the midfielder informing the club he wants to leave on loan to play regular first team football.
The England international is said to have held a meeting with club big wigs on Thursday.
And while Mainoo doesn’t want to leave on a permanent basis, he feels a loan move would be a better for developing his football career.
It’s claimed, however, that Man Utd have expressed to Mainoo that they will not sanction his loan exit.
The Red Devils are understood to value his place in the squad and expect him to stay and fight for a starting role.
Mainoo is said to be in search of consistent game time in a bid to earn a place in Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad next summer.
The Carrington graduate featured in all but one of England’s games at Euro 2024 under Gareth Southgate, but has not yet made the squad under Tuchel.
Minutes have been limited for the highly-rated youngster under Amorim at United.
Mainoo was an unused substitute for Man Utd’s opening two Premier League games this season.
While he played his first 90 minutes of the campaign in Amorim’s rotated side that were humiliated by League Two side Grimsby in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Teams linked with a switch for Mainoo have included Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
United had previously been open to selling Mainoo on a permanent basis in order to raise funds due to his academy graduate status meaning any transfer fee would be considered as pure profit in financial fair play terms.
