Woods, 36, has been a welcome addition to Champions League nights this season after replacing Jake Humphrey as lead anchor following BT Sport‘s change to TNT Sports.

For her night in the North East, Woods wore a black outfit with a grey coat.

Fans adore Woodsy, with one writing on social media: “Laura, you’ve lit up the floodlights at St James Park even without electricity.”

A second tweeted: “Wonderful coverage Laura. Glad you enjoyed St.James!”

While a third gushed: “Woodsy loves the toon!”

Woods has recently been dating Geordie Adam Collard.

The pair were spotted on a low-key date together in Durham last month.

Adam had his eyes on Woods for months before they began dating, as revealed by The Sun.

The duo have not confirmed that they are officially an item.

But their social media activity suggested that they went to St Ives, Cornwall together last weekend.

Woods shared a blurry snap to her Instagram account, in which she could be seen grinning as she jumped on a man’s back.
