AL-HILAL have reached an agreement with Liverpool to sign Darwin Nunez, according to reports.

The deal will be worth £46million plus add-ons and the striker is willing to move to Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool want to offload him this summer after splashing £79m on Hugo Ekitike and they remain keen on Newcastle’s wantaway star Alexander Isak in a possible £150m transfer.

The Athletic claim Nunez has been allowed to negotiate with Al-Hilal in recent weeks and they stepped up efforts to sign him on Sunday.

AC Milan also had the Uruguayan as a top target and were exploring a deal.

However, the Italian giants are reportedly unable to compete with the cash Al-Hilal have offered.

Liverpool face Crystal Palace in the Community Shield on Sunday and Nunez is seemingly unlikely to feature.

Reporter Fabrizio Romano suggested this morning that the player can “fly at any moment for a medical” now the deal has been struck.
