Liverpool Street station evacuated ‘due to police incident’ during rush-hour sparking commuter chaos

A BUSY London train station has been evacuated following reports of a police incident.

Passengers are understood to have been told to exit Liverpool Street station this evening, causing major disruption for commuters.

Video shared with The Sun shows people moving quickly to get out of one of the upper entrances.

One passenger wrote on X: “Liverpool Street Station being evacuated… Chaos!!”

Another commented: “London Liverpool Street station completely evacuated as I was about to hop on the train home.

“Sirens going off and told to evacuate immediately…It was like something straight out of a war zone.”

One commuter claimed their train announcer said there was a “suspicious package”.

Train service Greater Anglia wrote: “Due to the police dealing with an incident at London Liverpool Street some lines are blocked.

“Train services running to and from this station may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

“Disruption is expected until further notice. Specific train service alterations are available.”

The disruption is reported to have begun at around 6.30pm.

It’s understood service has now resumed.
