Luis Suarez appears to try to BITE player… but quickly stops when he realises it’s his own team-mate

LUIS SUAREZ appeared to trying BITING a player once again – only to stop when he realised it was his own teammate.

The bizarre incident occurred as Inter Miami faces MLS rivals LAFC in the second leg of their Concacaf Champions Cup quarter-final.

Tensions were high in Florida after Inter’s Californian opponents won the first leg 1-0.

But Lionel Messi and Co got the job done with a 3-1 victory at home, giving them a 3-2 aggregate win.

However, tensions spilled over late as players from both sides clashed following a stray challenge.

It saw a large bundle form in the centre of pitch, with Suarez at the heart of it.

The former Liverpool and Barcelona star then was tugged on the back of his shirt.

And he span around in anger before appearing to aim a bite at the stray arm.

However, Suarez quickly stopped in his tracks when he realised the appendage belonged to Inter Miami teammate Jordi Alba.

Fans were quick to react online, with one saying: “Friendly fire.”

The latter tweet refers to Suarez’s infamous history of biting several opponents.

He chomped down on Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay’s World Cup win over Italy in 2014.

While a year earlier, Suarez bit Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic while playing for Liverpool.

It resulted in a 10-match ban from the FA, while his bite on Chiellini saw him suspended for nine international games spanning 21 months.
