MYSTIC Luke Humphries somehow predicted his UK Open quarter-final opponent… just 24 hours after the “fix” fiasco.
World No1 Humphries, 30, finished runner-up at the ‘FA Cup of darts’ in both 2021 and 2024.

ITVIt came after the fifth-round draw was steeped in controversy[/caption]
And his run at the 2025 event at Butlin’s Minehead featured two freak quirks.
After beating Beau Greaves on Friday, his No23 ball was inexplicably and controversially put back in the bowl during the fifth-round draw – and then stayed in as the remaining 30 names were pulled out.
Some viewers demanded a redraw but it was allowed to stand, meaning his tie with Ryan Searle went ahead as initially drawn.
Humphries thrashed Searle then breezed past Ryan Joyce to book his spot in the last eight.
And he correctly guessed who he would face.
Humphries was asked to give his prediction and told Ladbrokes: “It’ll probably be James Wade because I always seem to get the same player all the time [in the UK Open].
“I’ve played Ryan Joyce in three out of four years, I always draw Ryan Searle.
“I knew I was going to be the only one to draw Beau [Greaves] on Friday, so it’s going to be James Wade.

“It’s not the draw I want, but it’s the draw I know is going to happen.”
Incredibly, just half an hour later, the quarter-final draw was done – with no seedings and anyone able to face anyone else.
And lo and behold, Humphries got pitted against Wade.
Darts fans on social media were quick to point out the Leeds hero’s one-in-seven-chance tip.
One said: “How did he call this before it happened?!?”
Another wrote: “Hahaha good call.”
A third added: “Loool no way!”
And a final user joked: “@lukeh180 lottery numbers for next week mate?”
