Littler, 18, is currently enjoying a stunning run of form following his maiden world title.

But he took time out of his busy schedule on Tuesday night to respond to a mocking Liverpool supporter.

After the Nuke referenced two Liverpool results, the fan bombarded Littler’s direct messages.

Littler posted stories following Liverpool’s dramatic 2-2 draw with rivals Everton last month.

He also wrote “Up the Les Parisiens” after PSG knocked the Reds out of the Champions League on Tuesday.

Referencing Man Utd’s position in the league, the fan wrote: “Sitting so so comfy in 15th.”

A smug Littler hit back: “We are actually 14th mate.”

United invited Littler onto the field at Old Trafford following his 7-3 win over Michael van Gerwen at Ally Pally.

The triumph made The Nuke the youngest ever PDC world champion.

He has since enjoyed a remarkable run of form, winning the UK Open, two Premier League events and the Belgian Open last week.

Littler hit a nine-darter during the Players Championship in Leicester on Tuesday.

And he followed it up by smashing his own record average, throwing an outrageous 122.96 in a 6-1 win over Damon Heta.

Littler’s winning run ended at 19 games on Tuesday as he was beaten in the final by Gian van Veen.

Van Veen took on Joe Cullen in the final, with the Englishman winning 8-7.

A delighted Cullen said: “I think this is the best win of my career, because of the adversity I have had to endure over the last year.

“When you’re slipping down the rankings and you’re doubting yourself, there is nothing worse in darts.

“I’m there for a reason, but I am doing everything I can to get myself back up those rankings.”
