ONE lucky punter will be diving into the Black Friday sales with a bucket full of cash having secured a six-figure payout from bookmaker Sky Bet over the weekend.
And it was all thanks to darts sensation Luke Littler, who might well be owed a gift or two having helped the mystery bettor land a colossal 175/1 RequestABet.
Luke Littler helps punter win six-figure payout after landing huge 175/1 RequestABetGETTY
The Sky Bet customer placed a bet on the 2024 Players Championship semi-final showdown between Luke Littler and Ross Smith.
To win the bet, the punter would need either player to successfully register a 100+ checkout in each of the first three legs of the match.
Step forward, Luke ‘The Nuke’.
Littler showed why he’s favourite to win next month’s PDC World Championship by securing 158, 107 and 150 checkouts across the first three legs.
The 17-year-old went on to win the match, but he wasn’t the only person celebrating.
Along with our six-figure winner, a massive 420 people also backed the 175/1 RequestABet in what was a costly night for the bookies.
It’s not the first time Littler has delivered for punters.
He also hit 180 in each of the first six legs of his Grand Slam quarter-final last weekend with bookmakers having priced that RequestABet at 200/1!
