LUKE LITTLER has revealed the next thing he wants to achieve after fulfilling his boyhood dream of becoming world champion.

The 17-year-old defeated Michael van Gerwen 7-3 in last night’s final to lift the Sid Waddell trophy and pocket £500,000.

Littler has enjoyed a remarkable rise in a whirlwind year and is now a household name.

Asked in his press conference this morning if there was anything he wished he had done in the last 12 months, The Nuke revealed: “I’m very different to normal 17-year-old.

“I would love to do my driving before it gets too late.

“I am glad I have got into this darts world.

“I don’t go out, wandering around the streets. I have really knuckled down on this sport.”

Away from getting behind the wheel, Littler opened up on his other aspirations.

He said: “Obviously, the World No1 could be on the cards this year, if Luke Humphries doesn’t defend all of his prize money.

“But if he goes on to win everything this year and defends his prize money, then fair enough to Luke.

“Also I cannot wait, I think I am in the World Cup with Luke.”

But for now, Littler is simply focused on recovery, saying this morning: “I only had four hours sleep. It’s a case of job done here in London.

“Now it’s going home and recharging the batteries.

“It’s literally drive home and straight to bed.

“It has definitely sunk in. Even on four hours’ sleep. I know that the trophy is mine.”

Littler claimed he had “no idea” what to spend his £500,000 on, but the generous teen was spotted handing his older brother Leon a wad of cash in the Ally Pally car park last night.

Asked by SunSport if Luke would be joining him on a night out to celebrate, Leon joked: “Can’t do much with him, can you! He’s 17.

“He’ll go out, chill on his game, maybe order some food.

“I’ll do the celebrating for him.”
