The M3 is closed near the M25 following a lorry crash

The M3 Junction 2 eastbound to the M25 Junction 12 is currently closed both ways, the agency said.

There are currently delays of 60 minutes on the M3 eastbound between Junction 3 and Junction 2.

This is to allow for vehicle recovery and to clean a fuel spillage following the crash.

National Highways have urged drivers to plan ahead.

Another lorry crash forced the the M4 to close earlier earlier today.

The M4 was closed westbound between Junction 7 (Slough) and Junction 8 (Maidenhead) following the collision this morning.

One lane has now opened but three lanes remain closed for recovery and clear up works with drivers facing delays of up to 30 minutes.

The M3 was also forced to shut in both directions yesterday following another multi-vehicle crash.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, raced to the crash site on the M3 in Surrey following the incident.

The road was closed westbound between J3 (Bagshot Interchange) and J4 (Frimley Interchange).
