THE M5 has been closed near Gloucester during rush hour following a police incident.
Drivers have now been urged to avoid the area and some have been left stranded on the highway.

The crash happened on the southbound carriageway between junctions 12 and 11a.
Emergency services are at the scene – leading to the road being closed in both directions.
Gloucester Constabulary said: “Motorists are advised to use alternative routes where possible.”
