TWO lanes on the M6 have been closed following a collision involving two vehicles.
Motorists are facing delays of up to 40 minutes this morning as a crash has caused long delays and tailbacks.
Traffic site Inrix reported that one lane has been closed – sparking queues.
The incident took place in the slow lane between junction 18 and 19.
Inrix said: “One lane closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M6 Northbound from J18 A54 Middlewich Road [Middlewich / Holmes Chapel] to J19 A556 [Knutsford].”
National Highways added: “Our Traffic Officers are on scene and recovery has been arranged. There’s a 40 min delay on approach with 5 miles of congestion.”
