A MAN has been arrested over two alleged firebombings linked to a violent gang war in Edinburgh.
The 24-year-old has been arrested by cops probing the blazes at two properties linked to caged cocaine kingpin Mark Richardson.
The Belle Cheveux salon in Edinburgh was set alight on March 6
The first blaze on March 6 saw the Belle Cheveux salon on Albert Road in Leith, run by Richardson’s partner Stephanie Dignan, torched by a hooded figure who appeared to lob a molotov cocktail through the window.
A second fire attack on March 16 destroyed a property where Ms Dignan’s dad Steven is understood to have a house.
Cops probing the blazes have arrested a man in connection with wilful fireraising and reset of a stolen vehicle.
Detectives say they are continuing to probe the alleged incidents.
Detective Superintendent Paul Grainger said: “I want to reassure the community that we are continuing to work on this investigation.
“If you have any information that can assist our investigation, please get in touch.”
