Police announced today that a man has been arrested in connection with the incident in London.
He is currently being held in police custody as police continue to investigate the near-fatal attack.
The victim, a man in his 30s, remains in a serious condition in hospital.
Devon and Cornwall Police said two men forced their way into the property and used acid to assault the man.
Det Supt John Bancroft said the suspects, both described as black males in their early 20s, had fled Wiltshire.
Bancroft described it as an “isolated and targeted attack” likely carried out by people with links to organised crime groups.
Detective Superintendent Ben Davies said about the arrest today : “I would like to thank the local community and wider public for their support and patience while we have been carrying out our enquiries into the incident.
“As part of our ongoing enquiries, we’re keen to hear from anyone who has relevant information about the incident or those involved.
“Anybody who has yet to speak to police who may have information or CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to contact police on 101 or via our website quoting log 69 of 21 February.”
The force are still working with partner agencies including the National Crime Agency to locate the remaining suspect.
